With only 8 shares can improve our social skills which allow us to be 100% in optimal mental and emotional state for our client.

Many times when we have problems to get our sales quotas can think or say in all those external factors that we believe have hampered the sale as “the client does not know what I wanted “. The client only went for a super-low price ‘,’ the client is a very difficult that even his own grandmother is patient ‘, well, this and more.

However, as already discussed in other articles to the topic of coaching in sales, we have detected and highlighted the importance of effective communication with the customer to make the sale.

Although to be an excellent salesperson one must be an exceptional communicator, my question is …

What is the effect on our sales and commercial one having a bad work environment where there is good communication?

Twilight Zone selling

The sale goes beyond being a single isolated action. Rather, it is all an interactive process between the client and commercial. In this process, we have a constant communication with our clients and customers when I say I allude to both external customers and internal customers. As the external client to the person who is interested in buying our products or services and the internal customer is anyone who is in our workplace.

It is indisputable that the performance in the work you do any co-worker or supplier, bosses, subordinates, or whomever that was linked directly or indirectly to our sale plays a major role in this process. To give an example if the finance department does not process the papers time credit for a new client we risk losing the sale. The fact that this fact is obvious to the naked eye, but the background is even more profound.

Social Skills

The way we interact with those around us the workforce has an immediate effect on our emotions. A balanced relationship behavior and the social dimension of the company is ideal to have a degree of social competence.
To develop these social skills, we focus on others instead of focusing on those who are experiencing or what we mean. If we are concerned, we are not able to devote sufficient attention to the other person or our customer to know what is the proper way to respond. In addition, eventually, it should be obvious.

Basic social skills

The global social competence includes those little rules of interaction that different authors call social skills.

Social skills created based on the following factors making the call Emotional Intelligence: self-confidence, empathy and an optimistic attitude toward others.

When we falter in any of them, apparently “fit.” Poor social skills make people feel uncomfortable and limit our success. Hopefully we can improve our social skills and learn to deal with a group. We will list some rules or codes that may be useful to us.

8 rules of social interaction

The following simple and obvious actions that seem worthwhile to reflect both the use and in case you have to tweak something, this is a good time and apply them.

1. Recognizes the presence of others. Always say hello or nod to anyone talk. (In fact, try to talk to you first!). Never drive next to someone without a smile or acknowledge his presence in the organization, in business, no room for rudeness, and certainly not get you anywhere.

2. Start the conversation. Talk to any stranger who is sitting or standing near you at any time. Do not wait for others to talk to you first. Share some events about yourself and ask the other person on his life. Practice until you feel comfortable doing this.

3. Keep the conversation. Try to find something that interests you about the other person and talk about it.

Not have to like everything about that person (and often will not like) but you can find something that you like it. Notes to that person and focus on every detail with curiosity, but removes the value judgments. Observations will provide clues about who they are and allow you to practice to improve your social skills.

4. Tuning. We refer to the act to reflect non-verbal cues of the other person and their emotional state in general. It is based on empathy, the ability to internally mimic the feelings of another person.

Allow your body and your face show interest and reflect the appropriate emotion, as you’re discussing. Synchronized nonverbal behaviors, such as to what another is doing or bow and smile, facilitates the exchange of emotions and allows you had better understand the feelings of others.

No tune with the other person for personal gain. This called manipulation, and people always recognize those who are not authentic. To build effective relationships is essential to show a genuine interest and desire to connect with them. The tuning also helps us to accept and include in a group.

5. Synchronization. It is a form of recognition of the other person before diverting the conversation in another direction.

The best way would be to summarize in a sentence or two what you think that this person has said, so you know you’ve paid attention and are more willing to change the subject and discuss your problem. For example, if two of his colleagues are talking about the football game on Sunday night and you want to discuss a project with one of them, make a few comments about the match or raise a question if he saw it. Later you can say, “Carlos, I need to talk to you (or you) on the agenda of the project.” Probably, Carlos will be more willing to discuss your topic because you have recognized the importance of it.

If we use the tuning and timing to connect with others, they are most receptive to our views and feelings. It is the basis of persuasion and influence.

6. Join the conversation correctly. Wait time is key in social interactions. Never interrupt another person to join a conversation: people resent the impositions in a conversation and often ignore what he says. First listen for a few minutes and use your verbal and nonverbal language to synchronize.

Typically, someone will see and recognize their presence. You can expect to make a pause in the conversation, but be sure to ask a question or offer any comment on what others are talking about before attempting to steer the conversation in the direction you want (ie synchronization).

7. Reciprocity. Reciprocity, other valuable social skills, means investing the same amount of time and energy into a relationship that the other person. We all know people we do not like them as much as we, or people whose feelings are not the same as we feel for them.

The relationships that do not maintain the same level of intensity cannot survive. If you have to work or interact regularly with someone, make sure you contribute to the same extent. If not know the intensity with which he lives that relationship, searching for clues in their body language and behavior.

8. Spread your mood to others . If you want others to adopt your mood or the type of relationship you prefer, you first have to demonstrate empathy and synchronize with them.

The self-disclosure is also useful, because if you reveal your own biases and feelings, you are helping others see their own perspective, even when not totally agree with you.

In conclusion

Remember, we are people and we interact with people, with all that that means. You have a high degree of social skills that help us improve our communication skills exponentially and all this together is helping us make more sales. IF you are prepared to take the big leap and improve all skills and resources to transform into an exceptional and commercial private coaching is for you.

If you do not want this happen to you, there are some things you should do, namely:

Discipline
Because you are free to determine the time to work on your project, does not mean you can be free. If you are not disciplined, then the project be abandoned and passed deadlines that have been determined, so that cannot be resolved. Discipline of time must be applied properly when working on a project.

Having a broad network

Consider the talent and character

Customer oriented
Consumers can become an effective means of promotion. If you work well, he would tell his friends that means a potential customer for you.

//-->

Price matching
The rise of competition may make you think to reduce your service costs, but if too low, you may experience a loss that makes you fail. Services can be determined based on experience in make same project, portfolio, testimonials from your customers, and others.
