Price, product, promotion and distribution are the variables, the 4P’s, which marketers use when designing a marketing strategy or plan, are the tools of the Marketing Mix.
Using the Marketing Mix helps achieve the goals we’ve set, and that structure the marketing strategy within the company.
Some experts have increased the number of ‘P’s’ in the mix at 5, 6 or even 7 and it is rare: Packaging as the 5th P, People, people, like 6th P or Partners, partners, and 7th P.

Having an idea is not so difficult. Many confirmed that the idea is just the way that links the problem that exists with the solution. Thus says the idea is part of creativity, which is not simply the art of perceiving the problems and solutions. So: Welcome the problems, because they enable us to have ideas!
In the business world, perhaps the problem is that nobody wants. However, it is absolutely necessary. One problem may be an unmet need or service is not provided to 100%, or even something that not even consider the problem. Because what a company is considered exceptional for another is ordinary. In fact, the best ideas do not exist if someone had not previously encountered a problem or see things differently.
Today, ideas and creativity set the pace of innovation. Now not only in the performance of new and advanced products but on the mere fact of promotion new services, revolutionize business models and blow up the core business of an enterprise.
But there are also new factors that did not exist previously. Indeed, change, new ideas, has always existed, but the frame where it develops and the adaptation time were different. Today, companies are created much faster. Every day there are new businesses and entrepreneurs with a great preparation, with technical knowledge and experience accumulated over years of work carried out in large companies, and with big ideas. Consumer behavior becomes the input for marketers to develop marketing strategies, then a company must have a marketing strategy that could affect consumers who become the target market, so that the determination of market segmentation, target market selection, and then positioning as a guideline of the strategy of marketing mix is important to note with good.
In the process of marketing, segmentation does not stand alone. Kotler pointed out that the segmentation is an integral part of the targeting and positioning. Kotler abbreviate this relationship as STP (segmenting, targeting, positioning). This process is part of the creation and delivery of value to consumers.
The word “value” given a meaning that is to give pleasure to the consumer because it received good service, excellent prices, a strong image, delivering on time, the producers chose the value of the action through the selection of segmentation, targeting, positioning (STP) is good. Furthermore, the value of it is developed with more concrete in the form of the marketing mix. Forms a very broad marketing mix includes product design, find suppliers, pricing, distribution, and sales promotion.
